Maine's Olympia Snowe on Net Neutrality

The L.A. Times has a very good (simple) article on the Net Neutrality issue in today's paper.

"The neutral communications medium is essential to our society. It is the basis of a fair competitive market economy. It is the basis of democracy, by which a community should decide what to do. It is the basis of science, by which humankind should decide what is true. Let us protect the neutrality of the net."
- Tim Berners-Lee (Inventor of the World Wide Web)

The Daily Show clip that might clarify some things for you. The one where Ted Stevens, (C - Crackpot, Alaska) reveals his deep and abiding knowledge of the Internet. GAH!

Pay attention peeps. Anytime "Big" anything (telecom, media, auto) says "increased competition could mean lower bills" HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLET.

My next banner will read, "Moda di Magno - paying more and more for the Internet since 1994!"
