Catch Restaurant

We had dinner Saturday night with friends Cathy & Jeff and Sarah & Scot at the fabulous Catch Restaurant in Winchester Center. We love Catch - it's a terrific restaurant (Best of Boston for a couple of years running and a Wine Spectator Award too!) and it is right downtown and it is really good and right downtown. (Yes, I'm excited that it is right downtown as this town has not historically supported restaurants, but right now we have really good Thai, Chinese and Seafood right downtown!) Boston is only 8 miles away - I can be in town in a flash, but it's nice to support local businesses - especially tasty ones! We had a lovely evening, good friends, good food, good conversation. What a night out with the grown ups should be.

Desserts by Pastry Chef Meghann Osmon - OMG, fantastico. This is the key lime tart.

This is the Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake. WARM. CHOCOLATE. TRUFFLE. CAKE. I shared this with Cathy.

The Chocolate Caramel Tart. You know that sound Homer Simpson makes when someone says "beer" - make that sound now.

Cathy and Scot posing for the blog. That's a "hurry up Magno" face as I did not want to use flash and it was a long exposure. Yes, the restaurant looks empty because we closed the joint down!

The coffee that almost caused an argument. ;-)
