The best dress of all moviedom

The famous Givenchy dress from the Blake Edwards film of Truman Capote's novel "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was auctioned by Sotheby's London today and achieved a sale price of $807,000US - far exceeding the pitiful estimate of $97,000US. The fabulously glamorous Audrey Hepburn sizzles and sways through that film like nobody's business. I wonder whatever happened to Cat (poor slob without a name?)

Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it (the mean reds) the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!
