On My Birthday, a Gold Medal Day

Congratulations to (President) Al Gore for sharing the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in bringing global climate change to the forefront via his startling (and Academy Award winning) film An Inconvenient Truth. Mr. Gore shares the prize with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

From the Nobel Foundation: "For their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change."

Mr. Gore will donate his $1.5 million award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a U.S. organization he founded which is working to persuade importance and urgency of adopting and implementing effective and comprehensive solutions for the climate crisis.

Congratulations Al, the political world is waiting to see what's next for you.
